  • Depressant

  • Buspirone
    This medication for panic attacks belongs to azapirones, a type of anxiolytic that does not produce sedation and has no risks of abuse, dependence or withdrawal.
  • Beta-blockers
    Beta-blockers are usually milder than another of the types of anxiety medication mentioned above. In addition, they have less impact on a cognitive level. The most commonly used beta-blockers for anxiety are propranolol, oxprenolol and nadolol.
  • Antihistamines
    It is a type of anti-anxiety medication that is not used so much in these cases but that have shown a very positive behavior in relation to the symptoms of anxiety, the best known is hydroxyzine.

What should be taken into account when taking medication for anxiety?

Medication for nervous stress or for anxiety should be prescribed by a specialist. Under no circumstances should a person self-medicate with this type of medication since its administration and the type of medicine depends on the symptoms they have.
